The most I laughed during a DnD session was when my brother was running the campaign, and we came across a mysterious cave. It was pitch black, and our human barbarian and I (a dwarf fighter) argued, in character, over who should go first. The barbarian argued he was the strongest, and I said I was the bravest. After a heated argument, he grabbed the torch from my hand and started walking into the cave. Staying in character, I decided to throw my oil container at him, which ended up engulfing him completely in fire.

He started running further into the cave, where he suddenly disappeared. It turns out there was a cliff ahead, and he fell down it. The good news was that the rapid wind extinguished the fire. The bad news was we couldn't see where he fell. All we knew was that he was still alive. I decided to throw a torch down to see where he landed. It turns out he fell into a giant bird's nest made of wood and dry leaves, which immediately caught fire, making our barbarian jump off the cliff again, to his death.
